Finding the right items for your furry family can be tough - I consider education on quality products and proper use to be an important and necessary part of my job!

For any training tool or item, please ensure that you are educated on proper use. Any tool can be misused and create negative results with your dog. I offer virtual and in-person training sessions, and am happy to help you learn how to use tools and what tools are the best for YOUR situation!

Now, on to the fun part!

Muzzles:

  • Mia's Muzzles: https://miasmuzzles.com/ I own this for my dog. I prefer using this for public events because it is far more subtle than a traditional muzzle, but still provides adequate protection that is needed for other dogs. She has options for pre-measured and custom-made sizing. Located in Canada.

  • Bronzedog: I also own this product for my dogs. For those looking for a metal muzzle to keep their pup safe, this has been a good option for a bite-proof muzzle. They do not offer as much panting room as a Mia's Muzzle, so I don't recommend them for higher activity or exercise times.

Both muzzles allow dogs to drink water, accept treats, pant and open their mouth, while still not allowing the dog to bite/harm others. ANY muzzle that you choose should have these traits to keep the dog safe and comfortable.

Training collars:

There are a variety of collars that are useful and beneficial in communicating with dogs to help achieve a training goal. These are NOT the only options, but are important options to have quality for.

  • *Prong collar: Herm Sprenger and Leerburg are the ONLY brands that I recommend for a safe, comfortable, and quality prong collar. They are made with the utmost care in quality and consistency.

  • *Educator E-Collars: One of the leading professionals for e-collars, they provide a quality product that provides safe, reliable, consistent, and accurate communication with your dog. Tone (sound), vibrate, and stim (similar to the feel of a TENs unit) options.

One collar with a great amount of versatility!

  • *Dogtra E-Collars: Another great option for e-collars, they also provide a safe, reliable, consistent and accurate communication with your dog! I have had the delight of going down to Dogtra's location and testing a variety of their products! They have a variety of options for scent/detection training, hunting training, and more! Great products with many versatile options

Enrichment Tools: Enrichment is when a dog (or other animal) is provided with breed-specific items that help them use their 5 senses to have more fulfillment! Enrichment helps a dog be mentally stimulated and is wonderful when used alongside physical stimulation and training.

  • *Pebble: An absolutely amazing and versatile tool!! Made with high-quality rubber, this great item can be used with a 'blocker' that gives your dog access to the filling through one of three different sized holes. It can also be used without, for a quicker and more accessible option! Perfect for treats, kibble, or filled then served fresh or frozen.

  • Kong: The classic! High quality toys that many dogs love, these durable toys are a great option for working dogs and pets alike!

  • Chuck-it: The absolute favorite of my current Belgian Malinois and Border Collie, these are a fantastic and durable choice for dogs that LOVE to play ball. Traditional tennis balls have an abrasive material and will wear down and damage a dog's teeth over time; Chuck-It balls do not do this. They also rarely (not never... but almost never!) go flat! Please do not use the balls with holes in them in the water - they sink! They are great for daily use otherwise, and avoid the risk of choking/obstruction.

I am not an affiliate with any brand, and I don't get a percentage if you order. I do purchase select items wholesale for resale, so clients can get the best deal. If you wish to purchase directly with me, those are marked with a * before the name.
